Accessibility
Our commitment to making cresoftech.ca usable for everyone.

Our commitment
Cressoft Technology Inc. is committed to making cresoftech.ca and the websites we build accessible to as many visitors as possible, including people with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities. We design and build with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our reference standard.
What we do on this site
- Use semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate page structure reliably
- Provide descriptive alt text on every meaningful image
- Maintain colour contrast ratios that meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA for text and interactive elements
- Keep touch targets at least 44 pixels on mobile
- Make forms keyboard-navigable with visible focus indicators and associated labels
- Ship a responsive design that adapts to 320px through 1440px+ viewports
- Avoid auto-playing media and motion that cannot be paused
AODA awareness
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) sets accessibility standards for Ontario businesses. Cressoft is currently below the 20-employee threshold that triggers a formal AODA compliance reporting obligation, but we follow the spirit of the Act in everything we build for ourselves and for clients. We can build AODA-compliant websites for client projects when that is part of the scope.
Known limitations
Web accessibility is an ongoing effort, and there are areas where we know we can do better. We treat the following as known gaps and welcome feedback as we improve them:
- Some third-party embeds (such as the Google Map on the contact page) are governed by their provider's accessibility, not ours
- Decorative motion (Ken Burns image effects) cannot currently be disabled site-wide; a prefers-reduced-motion option is on our roadmap
- Older blog posts may have heading hierarchies that we have not yet revisited
